Money in the Bank 2012 Prediction Guidelines
It’s that time! A few changes this month. There is no current champ so there is no reason to worry over guessing the same as someone, no champ’s advantage going in to this month. The champ will be offering commentary but will not return to compete until a later date. Second, if a match is announced late I will be adding it to the predictions, unlike previous months. Having only 5 matches to predict is a bit asinine and makes it too close for 80+ people get guess the same, even in tie-breakers.
This month we will again only be taking names for who will win as your prediction. You are welcome to give your reasons, but the only thing listed will be names. If you give reasons MAKE IT CLEAR WHO THE WINNER IS. If I read it and can’t discern from your paragraph who you are predicting I will put you down for whoever I feel like it, and that very well could just be Scott Stanford, so make it clear.
There are three possible prizes this month.
- The winner of it all gets a Podswoggle shirt from the Swoggle Shop. The T-shirt is your choice, but it has to be a T-shirt. You also get your own coveted JPEG Championship.
- The winner of the caption contest located here gets a Podswoggle shirt as well. The winner of that will be announced at the same time as the Predictions Winner.
- The absolute loser, the one we are calling the Jabroni Jobber, the person with the worst predictions of the evening, gets a $5 Wrestling Highspots DVD of their choice brought to you by the fellas from Future Endeavors Podcast. They figure you might need a lesson in wrestling.

Predictions start now and are available until midnight EST time this Saturday. At that time I will close the predictions and work on posting everything up. Once I have you entered into the competition you will be given a number, via twitter, that will be your number throughout the contest. I will refer to you by number because, well, it’s just twenty times easier for me.
Remember, I don’t care who retains titles, I want to know who wins the match. If you tell me someone retains in your predictions, I’m marking them as the winner, so even if they retain and their opponent win, you wouldn’t get the match. Thanks!

Sheamus v. ADR: Going to say Sheamus but will not be suprised to see ADR win after crying about his contract, and Summerslam being in LA this year.
Punk v Bryan: Logically makes more sense for Punk to win going forward, specifically since the only way Cena gets a title match at Slam is through him. Unless, of course, the Big Show wins MITB and cashes in on Punk. In that case, yuck.
Raw MITB: This one comes down to two people as well, Cena and Show. The ultimate loser here is going to be Jericho though since he is going to have to hit all the spots. I’m going to say Cena but I honestly don’t know why. Not looking forward to this match, at all, and would much rather have 6 people not named Cena or the Big Show involved. Yuck

I’d love Kidd to win it, but I don’t see WWE being smart enough to give him that. I see it down to Rhodes and Ziggler, maaaaybe by a long shot Tensai. Rhodes has been sort of feuding with Christian I guess, so I think they’ll continue that, and this man did get a title shot at No Way Out, soooo….

I like FELLA and Del Rio a lot, so I see this being a great match. But, FELLA has been unstoppable since late 2011, so I don’t see him losing.

The match I’m most looking forward to, and I still have no idea who wins, I was thinking Bryan but with AJ as special guest ref, I don’t even know. Punk and Rock have been teasing a feud on twitter, so perhaps Punk will retain, for now.

Not a lot to say about this match, it was added at the last minute and it will be the first full match that R Truth will have since he broke his foot a few weeks ago. It should be a very competitive and athletic competion between two great tag teams in the WWE. I see Boom Truth taking this one and moving on to defending against the Primetime Playas very soon.

Really looking forward to this match, this is more of the classical Money in the Bank, so looking forward to some of the spots that Tyson , Sin Cara , Christian and Dolph come up with. Dolph will be the bumping machine that he always is and sell everything like a million bucks. I hope the outcome of this takes a guy who needs the push and makes him a star out of it. The star I want lit is none other then Dolph Ziggler.

I think that this about a good of time as any for Del Rio to become World Heavyweight Champion, I think Sheamus chasing is more exciting and interesting then him as world champion. Also with Randy Orton lurking in the shadows, it would make for a great opponent for his return.

CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan
Personally I think it should be another solid match between those two, with more great maneuvers and it should be highly competitive and a great athletic endeavor, adding AJ to the mix could make for a volatile situation, with AJ clearly stating she not siding with either Punk or Bryan. I am picking CM Punk to win this one, as when the deck is stacked against him lately, he has over come the odds and I think AJ’s feelings for Punk may come back and allow Punk the victory.

John Cena came out strong on top at No Way Out and was the winner when it was all over. With the Rock coming back this will drive John Cena more then ever to be the winner of the WWE Championship Money in the Bank, because how sweet would it be if John Cena made it a triple threat for the WWE Championship at Summerslam. John Cena also demonstrated he can hold his own in a ladder match, while he has not been in a Money in the Bank match before, he has been in TLC matches and I think his street smarts and his brawling style will land him the briefcase.

For whatever reason Hunico hasn’t had a win on either major brand since Ted DiBiase got injured.While I’m really tired of Boring Boom, it’s pretty obvious that Kofi and Truth are going to have to look good here for their (hopefully imminent) tag title loss to the PTP.

My heart wants Tyson Kidd to take this just because it’s something so out of left field that it would be an incredible moment. Christian already has a belt, Santino has a belt and is a joke… can Tensai even climb a ladder? Sin Cara is made of glass and so that leaves Cody Rhodes and Dolph Ziggler. Vickie Guerrero is the “thing that should not be” and a curse upon Dolph Ziggler’s career so I have to go with Cody Rhodes breaking through the glass ceiling tonight.

This is a tough one, and rumors have been saying “it’s time” as in time for CM Punk to lose the title, and he’s already had numerous victories on Daniel Bryan already. Bryan can’t really afford too many more losses, and truth be told the Money in the Bank for RAW is so predictable that I don’t think Punk can win here. they need to shake things up and as much as I love Punk climbing the ladder of length WWE championship reigns the right move is to YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES…
