Extreme Rules 2012 Prediction Guidelines

Welcome back, or welcome first-timers, to the Solace PPV Predictions! This PPV you will be up against TheSupremeForce, who won the title quite handily at Raw. Remember the rules, if he gets the most correct, even if he ties, he wins it as the title holder. Otherwise, we go into the tie-breakers! Besides the very cool JPEG title you win, this month we’ll be giving away a copy of Shawn Decker’s autobiography, My Pet Virus, for the Kindle. If you don’t have a Kindle there is a free app you can download from Amazon.

Can a girl please win??

Eh-hem. All right, here are the matches and tie-breakers you need to predict:

Santino Marella vs. The Miz for the United States Championship

(Yes, this is a preshow match but since we know ahead of time we are throwing it in)

Tie-Breaker 1: How many chair shots during the entire PPV!

Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena

Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan

Tie-Breaker 2: How many “yes” will come out of Bryan’s mouth on the way to the ring.

CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho

Randy Orton vs. Kane

Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes

For you first-timers, here is an example of how to set up your predictions:

Santino vs. Miz

I’m voting for Santino because they haven’t done jack with Miz lately. Winner: Santino

Tie-Breaker 1:

5

Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena:

I’m going with Cena because he’s already lost too many times lately. Winner: Cena

and so-on.

Yes, the Winner: Name at the end is really important to me because when I’m keeping track of the numbers during the PPV this makes it 100x easier.

As usual you may dm me your predictions, email me your predictions SolaceWinter@yahoo.com or you may leave your predictions in the comments below. You have until midnight Eastern time on Saturday, April 28th to give me your predictions or else you are out! If you tell me ahead of time you can’t make it I will save your place for next month.

Good luck!

  1. Santino Marella vs. The Miz for the United States Championship

Santino. I honestly don’t see a reason for Miz to win at all.

    Winner: Santino Marella

Tie-Breaker 1: How many chair shots during the entire PPV!

    20

    Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena

Cena’s current storyline is losing all these big matches. Also, Brock needs to win to stay ”legit” and move on to storylines with Rock for example.

    Winner: Brock Lesnar

    Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan

Bryan will win a fall, then Sheamus will brogue kick him, and then sheamus will win the last fall.

    Winner: Sheamus

Tie-Breaker 2: How many “yes” will come out of Bryan’s mouth on the way to the ring.

    16

    CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho

    Jericho will leave soon.

    Winner: CM Punk

    Randy Orton vs. Kane

Kane won at mania, lost on Smackdown, now he’s kind of running from orton. Hard to say who has the upper hand, but I’ll go with Kane for the win.

    Winner: Kane

    Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes

I don’t see a reason for Show to lose it right now.

    Winner: Big Show

  2. Tie Breaker 1- 8

    Lesnar vs Cena
    Winner: Lesnar
Can’t see cena beating Lesnar who signed a $5million contract with WWE. Also Lesnar losing his first match since UFC? Not happening!

    Bryan Vs Sheamus
    Winner: Sheamus
Hate to say it but think sheamus will win as I can’t see him losing after he didn’t tap out to the Yes lock on RAW! Also think Bryan will say yes 8 times YES!

    Randy Orton Vs Kane
    Winner: Orton
Orton to win because I want him too lol

    Show vs Rhodes
    Winner: Rhodes
Rhodes I feel will win very unfairly which will embarrass the big show…

    Miz vs Santino
    Winner: Miz
Miz to win US champ back because he deserves it!

  3. Santino vs Miz
I’m was going to go with Santino, but I feel a swerve. Winner: Miz

Tie breaker 1: 21 chair shots

    Lesnar vs Cena
Lesnar is going over. People need to enjoy Brock, because SuperMegaUltraCena is on the horizon. #Gross… Winner: Brock Lesnar

    Sheamus vs Bryan
If the WWE was smart, they’d put the belt back on Bryan. This looks like an opportunity to give a big fuck you to the fans. Winner: Sheamus

    Tie breaker 2: 12 yeses

    CM Punk vs Jericho
Punk is going over. Jericho is just hanging out until his shitty band tours, I don’t expect anything from him. Winner: Punk

    Orton vs Kane
Fuck, this match again. Winner: Orton

    Big Show vs Cody Rhodes
I’m going with Cody here. Show got his Wrestlemania win, time for Cody to get his title back. Winner: Rhodes

  4. Forgot Jericho vs punk!
    Winner: Jerichio
Would make sense for punk to win but I think Jericho will snatch it and win!

  5. Santino Marella vs. The Miz for the United States Championship
I think Miz wins this one as Santino and Ryder are slated for a tag title run.
    Winner: The Miz

(Yes, this is a preshow match but since we know ahead of time we are throwing it in)

Tie-Breaker 1: How many chair shots during the entire PPV!
    10
    Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena
Whether Cena leaves until Summerslam after this match, or just have Lesnar come in and just flat out beat Cena. Brock Lesnar is the only guy that should win this one. Added to thefact that the show has Lesnars name in it, its the only logical finish.
    Winner: Brock Lesnar

    Kharma vs Nikki Bella
Nikki beating Beth was a huge surprise at first we thought Beth was legit hurt, but later was found to be a work. I think we see Nikki saying she is leaving with the title, and Kharma comes out.
    Winner: Kharma

    Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan

Solace your match order is pretty damn wacky.
Anyways, I see them doing a 10 min match where Daniel Bryan gets the first fall.

For the second fall I see Sheamus hitting a Brogue kick for the second fall.

The third fall I see Bryan going for a Brogue kick of his own. He will miss and Sheamus will counter with a Brogue Kick.
    Winner: Sheamus

Tie-Breaker 2: How many “yes” will come out of Bryan’s mouth on the way to the ring.

    7 Yes

    CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho

These guys should go out there and have a pretty good long match. Not only can these two guys work their ass off but they can get you involved in the story they are telling very well. I think we see Punks family get involved and it costs CM Punk the championship.
    Winner : Chris Jericho

    Randy Orton vs. Kane

Pretty simple here Kane won one and Randy Orton won one, so the smart decision is that Orton wins with him moving towards feuds with either ADR or the whc.
    Winner: Randy Orton

    Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes

This is really a throwaway match and this feud really does nothing for either guy. Cody should be in the top mix and the big show should be contending for a world title, because I think there are going in a direction with a solid crop of mid carders, Im going with
    Winner: Cody Rhodes

  6. Santino Marella vs. The Miz for the United States Championship – Winner : Miz

Gonna go out on a limb here, and say Miz, because if you missed watching it on YouTube you missed something great. WWE’s way of getting more traffic to the YouTube Page.

Tie-Breaker 1: How many chair shots during the entire PPV! – 24 Chair Shots

Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena – Winner : Cena

    Because Fuck Lesnar

Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan – Winner : Sheamus

We’ll stick with Sheamus, cuz people love him, and Bryan doesn’t need a belt as long as he has YES!!

Tie-Breaker 2: How many “yes” will come out of Bryan’s mouth on the way to the ring. – 20 Yes’s!!

CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho – Winner : CM Punk

Because… who knows.. Punk in Chicago

Randy Orton vs. Kane – Winner : Kane

Because who cares.. and Kane lost last time on regular TV last time

Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes – Winner : Big Slow

Because Cody hasn’t won shit since losing the strap.. oh wait Championship

  7. Santino Marella vs. The Miz for the United States Championship

Santino. Miz winning wouldn’t be logical at all.

    Winner: Santino Marella

Tie-Breaker 1: How many chair shots during the entire PPV!

    17

    Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena

Brock needs to come out the strongest, because he just came back and needs momentum. Cena can go fuck off.

    Winner: Brock Lesnar

    Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan

Sheamus’ll win, but at least it’ll be a worthwhile match this time.

    Winner: Sheamus

Tie-Breaker 2: How many “yes” will come out of Bryan’s mouth on the way to the ring.

    13

    CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho

Jericho came back to “make” Punk, so yeah.

    Winner: CM Punk

    Randy Orton vs. Kane

Seeing as I’ve got a lot of faces winning and I’m not quite certain with this one, I’ll go with Kane.

    Winner: Kane

    Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes

    Come on, son.

    Winner: Big Show

  8. Santino Marella vs. The Miz for the United States Championship

As much as I love Santino I think The Miz could benefit more from winning this match because he needs some sort of momentum at the moment.

    Winner : The Miz

Tie-Breaker 1: How many chair shots during the entire PPV!

    20

    Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena

Cena hasnt won a high profiled PPV match in some time and I don’t see that changing here with the returning B0rk Laz0r. Expect a fight from Cena tho but Brock will ultimately overpower Cena.

    Winner : B0rk Laz0r

    Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan

Sheamus in 18 seconds managed to win the world title back at Mania… (sad face here) He’s only held the title about a month so I see him winning here possibly 2 straight falls.

    Winner : Sheamus

Tie-Breaker 2: How many “yes” will come out of Bryan’s mouth on the way to the ring

25 Yes chants to the ring..

    CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho

Punk’s walking into this match the champion and hometown guy. I expect the crowd to eat Jericho alive and then some. I think this match will top their Mania match with the street fight stip and all the pent up rage Punk has with Jericho.

    Winner : Chicago Made Punk

    Randy Orton vs. Kane

I honestly could care less about this match. They had a good match on SD a few weeks back tho. I expect this match to be more of the same that we’ve seen between these two just with the FCA stip tho.

    Winner : Randy Orton

    Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes

This is an interesting one. Big Show for some god forsaken reason has won the IC title at Mania and now is basically doing to Cody what Cody did to Show. Embarrass him. I wouldn’t be all that surprised if Cody won the title back here.

    Winner : Big Show

  9. Shelly Montgomery (@RatedRPeep)

    Santino vs. The Miz

Going with Santino. Don’t see them changing the title during a pre-show match online and Miz hasn’t been winning jack anyway. Winner: Santino

    Tie-breaker 1:

    Guessing…17

    Brock vs. Cena:

Hoping Cena wins because I hate Brock, but it seems silly to build Brock up and make him lose his first match. Winner: Brock Lesnar

    Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan:

Daniel Bryan is over no matter what. I’m think Daniel will get the first fall and Sheamus gets 2 and 3. Winner: Sheamus

    Tie-Breaker 2:

Daniel Bryan will say “yes” 13 times.

    CM Punk vs. Jericho

Punk has the intensity and I just don’t see him losing. Winner: CM Punk

    Randy Orton vs. Kane

Orton is obviously upset about what Kane did to his dad, but Kane is a monster who doesn’t care. Winner: Kane

    Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes

I want Cody to win, but at the same time I would rather him be going for the World Heavyweight Championship instead. I want to see at least one title switch hands though. Winner: Cody Rhodes

  10. Lauren Hughes (@DontMentionLove)

Santino Marella vs. The Miz for the United States Championship
-I like Santino as champ but I think Miz may win and get himself on Big Johnny’s side since he got the pin for his team at WrestleMania.
    Winner: Miz

Tie-Breaker 1: How many chair shots during the entire PPV!
    -13 Chair Shots

    Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena
-I highly doubt Lesnar will lose his first match back after his return has been made into such a big deal.
    Winner: Lesnar

    Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan
-Sheamus is being given quite a push at the moment so I think it’s too soon for him to lose the title, plus Daniel Bryan is the most over guy right now, with or without it.
    Winner: Sheamus

Tie-Breaker 2: How many “yes” will come out of Bryan’s mouth on the way to the ring.
    -22 Yesses.

    CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho
-Jericho is leaving soon to go on Tour with Fozzy so I don’t think giving him the title right now would be a very smart move.
    Winner: CM Punk

    Randy Orton vs. Kane
-Orton lost at Mania and then Kane got his dad involved. Something tells me they’re going to go with the usual Orton overcomes everything and is boring and stale.
    Winner: Randy Orton

    Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes
-It’s too soon for Show to lose the title. Not much else to say about it.
    Winner: Big Show

  11. @MrsZigglesworth

    Santino vs The Miz
Winner: The Miz, because I think he needs some momentum lately after getting lost withing the storylines.

Tie Breaker 1: 15 chair shots

    Brock Lesnar vs John Cena
Winner: Brock Lesnar, because just like Cena had to win at WM, he has to win at Extreme Rules, but won’t to further his storyline.

    Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan
Winner: Sheamus, because he needs to develop as the face of Smackdown, and Daniel Bryan is more over after WM than expected.

Tie Breaker 2: 17 “YES” chants

    CM Punk vs Chris Jericho:
Winner: Chris Jericho, because they need to further the feud for Over the Limit PPV.

    Randy Orton vs Kane
Winner: Randy Orton because he lost at WM and needs to look strong. When has he lately lost at a PPV twice in a row?

    Big Show vs Cody Rhodes
Winner: Big Show, because WWE shits on the midcard quite often.

  12. SirTweets_ALot

    Santino vs. Miz

I enjoy Santino, and I enjoy the Miz on the mic, which not a lot of people can say. I think they give the win to Miz, because he never really received the push he may or may not have earned by winning at Wrestlemania.
    Winner: Miz.

Tie breaker 1: 28 chair shots

    Bork Lazer vs John Cena

I love Brock being back. With that said, I cannot foresee a good storyline they can put him in anywhere with anybody that would make a good match happen. I think he should just be running around, fucking everybody up, and not really having matches. I think Lesnar wins, Cena cries, and John Cena’s Dad has a heart attack in his recliner at home.
    Winner via F5: Bork Lazer

    Shame-O vs D-Bry
Yo dawg I want mah boy D-Bry to win this shit (He in mah fave five) but I think they gonna try and kill da buzz around da man who lost his title at WRASSLEMANIA. Sheamus (who also in mah fave five) is gonna win, but mah boy is not holdin’ the title for very long.
    Winner: Sheamus

Man, dat tie breaker numba 2: 21 “YES” chants. SHEAMUS, HE COMIN’ FOR YOU WHITE NIGGA

Leader of the Straight Edge Society vs The Guy Who Placed 7th on Season 12 of Dancing with the Stars

I’m leaning towards Y2J on this one, for the simple fact that I don’t think they would spam us with Y2J PPV WWE Championship matches and not have him win one, but I think CM Punk is going to win, for the sole fact that they want to bring legitimacy back to the title, after changing hands like 94 times in 2011.
Winner via stolen Walls of Jericho: CM Punk

    Randal Orton vs Glenn Jacobs

They’re doing a good job with this entire feud, bringing in Cowboy Bob Orton and Paul Bearer, and because of that, I think they’re going to stretch this angle for 1 more PPV, which means that Randy will win this.
Winner, via RKO OUT OF SEEMINGLY NOFUCKINGWHERE: Randy Orton

    David vs Goliath

I’ll say it. I don’t like Cody Rhodes. I know he’s good in the ring, and I know bitches love him, but I just don’t like him. I still see him as the jobber who teamed with Bob Holly, and then turned on him to tag with Ted DiBiase, Jr. I don’t think Big Show can lose this match, unless it becomes a TNA Ultimate X match at the last second, or if big brother Dustin Rhodes comes out and electrocutes Big Show.
Winner by WMD (I wish it was a stolen Beautiful Disaster, but that’s why it’s a dream): Big Show

  13. Santino Marella vs. The Miz for the United States Championship
    Winner: Santino Marella

I don’t really see Santino losing the title right now, especially on a pre-show match. Miz doesn’t have any reason to win anyway since WWE aren’t doing anything with him right now.

Tie-Breaker 1: How many chair shots during the entire PPV!
I’m gonna go with 22 chair shots.

    Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena
    Winner: Brock Lesnar

Brock’s fresh rejoining the company, and for him to lose this early from his return doesn’t make sense. He needs the momentum.

    Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan
    Winner: Sheamus

I’ve got Sheamus winning this one. I don’t see him losing the title just yet. If it’s 18 seconds again though, I’ll flip my shit.

Tie-Breaker 2: How many “yes” will come out of Bryan’s mouth on the way to the ring.
He’ll say “Yes!” around 16 times.

    CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho
    Winner: CM Punk

I don’t see Jericho winning this, but it’s gonna be a great match nonetheless.

    Randy Orton vs. Kane
    Winner: Randy Orton

This one is hard for me to determine. It could go either way, but gut instinct tells me Orton will take it.

    Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes
    Winner: Big Show

I don’t really see this one going in Cody’s favour at all…

  14. Tom Sherwood (@TomQWood)

Santino Marella vs. The Miz for the United States Championship

I think the WWE starts this off with a big. Like Team Rosa winning the tag titles at a live event. Miz winning here would give quite a bit of wow factor for YouTube matches. Plus I want to see Santino and Brodus have the tag titles.

    Winner: Miz

Tie-Breaker 1: How many chair shots during the entire PPV!

    26

    Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena

There’s no doubt that Lesnar wins here. It just has to be completely decisive. This is the start of a narrative for Cena and Brock comes back with a bang.

    Winner: Brock Lesnar

    Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan

To say the least, so far it’s been a pretty uninspiring run by Sheamus. Especially compared with how over Daniel Bryan is right now. Sheamus has been a victim of booking here, as Bryan getting screwed over is the storyline over Sheamus rising to the top. I think they end the feud here for now, but Sheamus needs to step up his game.

    Winner: Sheamus

Tie-Breaker 2: How many “yes” will come out of Bryan’s mouth on the way to the ring.

    17

    CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho

The toughest one of the night for me. Not sure why their worst promos are for the take-home shows before PPVs but the sobriety test was brutal. I’d love to see Jericho win here. Maybe have Punk or another face take the title back as soon as Fozzy goes on tour.

    Winner: Jericho

    Randy Orton vs. Kane

No doubt Orton wins here, I see no point in Kane winning. But what I do hope is that this turns Orton heel, and that Sheamus/Orton is a SummerSlam match.

    Winner: Randy Orton

    Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes

I’d like to see Cody Rhodes win it back right here. Show is useless with the title, where I think Cody can have a meaningful feud over the IC belt with someone.

    Winner: Cody Rhodes.

  15. Santino Marella vs. The Miz

Winner: Santino, because if Miz is back in good graces, he’ll be involved in something a little bigger.

    Tie-breaker 1: Eleven

    Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena

Winner: Brock. The “Tear down John Cena while simultaneously building him up for the children” saga will continue.

    Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan

Winner: Daniel Bryan should win so that A J can begin to stalk him with challengers who she represents somehow, but that’s too much logic for WWE. So Sheamus for the win.

Tie-Breaker 2: None. He’ll do them IF he wins back the title.

    CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho

Winner: C M Punk. Jericho has other projects coming up soon. Perhaps he can come up with more viral videos or clever catchphrases for his 2020 return?

    Randy Orton vs. Kane

Winner: Kane. My gut feeling tells me that sometime in the future he’ll get tied in with ‘Taker somehow so he can’t be looking weak.

    Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes
    the
Winner: Big Show. Not only should these two never have been paired off in a match in the first place, but they should not be still involved with each other at all. Both need to move on to a new chapter.

  16. Santino Marella vs. The Miz for the United States Championship
PREDICTION: The Miz. Because he needs the belt again to get going, and all Santino needs is the deadly Cobra!

Tie-Breaker 1: How many chair shots during the entire PPV!
    14

    Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena
PREDICITION: Lesnar. But Cena will eventually get him back. Brock can’t lose straight out of the gate, even though I wish Cena would squash him Brodus Clay style.

    Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan
PREDICTION: Bryan. Post-WM he has reached the zenith of his powers. Sheamus is an invisible champion, and right now everyone but Punk is an invisible champion. Look for Bryan to get pinned in under 30 seconds in the first fall, though!

Tie-Breaker 2: How many “yes” will come out of Bryan’s mouth on the way to the ring.
    25

    CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho
    PREDICTION: CM Punk.

    Randy Orton vs. Kane
PREDICTION: Randy Orton gets his WrestleMania revenge. But Kane’s victory is immortalized forever. Sorry Randy. You win here though!

    Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes
PREDICTION: Rhodes. Another Invisible Champion falls. But Big Show’s victory is immortalized forever. Sorry Cody. You win here though!

  17. Santino Marella vs. The Miz for the United States Championship
Winner: Santino, because Miz is a cancer. Maybe that’s why he fake tans himself to look like he’s undergoing chemotherapy. Fuck you, Mizanin.

Tie-Breaker 1: How many chair shots during the entire PPV!
    28

    Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena
Winner: Lesnar, because Cena is a fucking martyr now.

    Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan
Winner: Sheamus, by 2 falls to 1, because DBD fans of old and new are not pissed off enough yet.

(a good tie-breaker here would be the order of the falls, e.g. 1st fall Sheamus, 2nd fall Daniel-san, 3rd fall Sheamus)

Tie-Breaker 2: How many “yes” will come out of Bryan’s mouth on the way to the ring.
    8

    CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho
Winner: Punk, because Chicago will riot otherwise. I sincerely thought this shitty family matters angle was merely the dues the Punk family had to pay for their Wrestlemania tickets. Now they’re pushing it further, it’s even more stupid. Just give me the match and skip the stupid soap opera.

    Randy Orton vs. Kane
Winner: Kane, because I want to.

    Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes
    Winner: Cody, because see above.

    And that’s that. Title, please…

  18. Melodelish4286

Santino Marella vs. The Miz for the United States Championship
The Miz has fallen way off the radar and I don’t think winning the US Championship would give him a boost, he needs an image change. Winner: Santino

    Tie-Breaker 1: 12

    Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena
Cena needs a win to bring him out of his funk and I think him winning will bring the Lesnar/Cena feud to another level. Winner: John Cena

    Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan
Bryan is doing an amazing job as a heel and as much as I’d like to see him take the title back, Sheamus has just started his run and I don’t think it’s time for him to lose just yet. Winner: Sheamus

    Tie-Breaker 2: 6

    CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho
I’m kind of tired of this feud and it’s known knowledge Jericho has side projects, I don’t see him getting the title for a short run. Plus it’s in Chicago and I don’t see Punk losing in a Chicago street fight (Kind of bummed it won’t be as epic as previous street fights.) However, I hope this is the end of this feud. Winner: CM Punk

    Randy Orton vs. Kane
Leave both Kane and Orton with a win and move on from this pointless feud. Winner: Randy Orton

    Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes
I don’t like Show having the title, he’s not doing anything with it, so I hope it goes back to Cody and he can get into a decent feud with someone his own size. Winner: Cody Rhodes

  19. Santino – Miz
Santino. Miz is nowhere at the moment and I doubt the title will change hands off of tv.
    Winner : Santino
    Tie breaker 1 – 27 chair shots

    Lesnar – Cena
Lesnar should win and put Cena out of the picture for a while. Lesnar surely won’t be booked to lose this early in his programme. Winner : Lesnar

    Sheamus – Bryan
Unfortunately Sheamus. Very early into his run as champ so I can’t see him losing this. Winner : Sheamus

Tie breaker 2 – Daniel Bryan will say ‘yes’ 13 times on his way to the ring.

    Punk – Jericho
Punk again. An epic Chicago Street Fight should favour the champ, but you never know with perverse Vince. Still, Jericho has Fozzy to attend with this summer so Punk it is. Winner : Punk

    Orton – Kane
I don’t really care but I think Orton will win to maybe set up a feud with Lesnar. Winner : Orton

    Rhodes – Show
I’ve got a bad feeling about this. Winner : Big Show

  20. Hello everyone! It seems I haven’t kept my prmise to myself to start watching WWE again. And so, I decided to do my research, and I have checked out things such as past win/loss records of the superstars/divas competing, and other people’s predictions and reasoning to help determine my pick. Let’s get it on!

Santino Marella vs. The Miz for the United States Championship

Putting this as a “free” preshow match” can basically be translated to WWE saying “We Don’t care enough about you or the title, to put you on the PPV” to Santino. Let’s play real or not real. Santino is nothing more than a comedy act. Real. He is a wrestler who has resorted to using a puppet- yes, a puppet- to get a reaction from a crowd. Also real. He’s holding a championship. Sadly, also real. Santino is over. He can’t go anywhere. Miz still has a long career in front of him. We haven’t seen much of him, and this would be the perfect opportunity to give him a little push. A Little love tap 🙂 ❤ So, why not have him win? Because, it's an online, preshow match, and what good would that do? Nothing! If they wanted to have him win, they would put it on the PPV card. Wheras putting Santino on the card only to book him to win would be a slot gone that could be consumed by something far more entertaining. End rant.

    Winner: Santino

    Tie-Breaker 1: 13

    Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena

WWE doesnt like having John lose cleanly. There is almost always an explanation as to why he loses. Mainly, interference of some sort. When Edge told John to wake up, and to get his confidence back, that in itself was a nudge to the WWE universe that John is still suffering the effects of his loss. Here's how I see it: John is still upset about his loss on the Grandest Stage of Them All. He's not 100%. He can't quite find his rhythm. So, not fully prepared, he loses to Brock. Following this match is a string of loses. The downfall of John Cena. I dig it, personally, and I think that's te angle that they're going to use.
